Past Precedent

A lovely rebuttal to Harriet Harman courtesy of dear old Cicero:

Nihil est incertius vulgo, nihil obscurius voluntate hominum, nihil fallacius ratione tota comitiorum

Nothing is more unpredictable than the mob, nothing more obscure than public opinion, nothing more deceptive than the whole political system.

    To seek to change that system is a noble calling.

  2. Indeed; but sadly a little futile too, it would seem. Nothing has changed in the past two thousand, three thousand, five thousand years; but I suppose that we can bring a little light into each generation, in order to give the next one a reason to persist.

    Is there somewhere where you can get the latin Quotes and translations online I miss doing Latin Loved it at school
